Stars win ACAC title; Rumple win NE8 shot MCKEAN, SMITH, BIXLER WIN COMBINED SIX EVENTS FOR CONFERENCE CROWN

-

-Jonathon Barton set a season best in the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.89 in the prelims.

-Noah Short cut three seconds from his best time in the 300 hurdles and finished 13th.

-Bellmont’s 4x100 relay team ran a great race for a new season best and finished sixth in 45.86. That team consisted of Aiden Faurote, Jamison Rumple, Landon Caston and Ben Sprague.

-The 4x400 team of Brett Johnson, Ben Sprague, Trevor Smith and Aiden Faurote continued that trend and set a new season best in 3:45.19 to finish seventh.

-Jamison Rumple finished seventh and set a new PR with a throw of 125 feet.

-Aidan Ford also set a new personal best with a throw of 94-11.

-Rumple was the NE8 champion in the shot put, winning by eight inches with a distance of 45-07.75.

At Bluffton (ACAC Meet)

-Caiden Neuenschwa­nder set a new season best by two seconds and finished sixth in the 800. Teammate Hayden Brown did the same and finished eighth.

-Trevor Schwartz lowered his team-best time in the 1600 and finished seventh with a 5:08.81.

-Mark McKinley set a new season best by five seconds to take ninth in the 1600.

-Trevor Schwartz broke the 11-minute mark for the first time this season and finished fourth in the 3200.

-Cam Smith cleared 5-06 for the first time in the high jump this season and finished runner-up to Carter McConnell of Bluffton, who went 5-08.

-Corbin Hirschy became an ACAC champion by passing the 48-feet mark to beat teammate Zac Wurm, who went 46 feet for the first time in his career. Both throws were PRs. -Trenton Hoffman gave the Jets a sweep of the throwing titles, needing just 146 feet to beat his teammate, Corbin Hirschy, by a healthy distance. Hirschy set a new PR to finish runnerup.

-Sam Plattner made his discus debut and threw an impressive 97-07 to take 11th place.

-Adrienne McKean edged out teammate Alison Smith for both the 100 and the 200 meter titles.

-Smith took the 400 title with the fastest time registered by a county runner this season (1:02.43).

-Gabi Landis lowered her season-best time in the 800, which was already the fastest of any county runner, to 2:32.45 and

finished second behind Leslie Sprankles. -McKenzie Sturwold also set a season best and finished third in the 800. -Madison Gerber finished second in the 3200 for Adams Central and Nia Litwiller set a season best to finish eight for South Adams. -Brooklyn Bixler beat out Marissa Van De Weg for the 100 M hurdles crown, clocking a 15.85. -Marissa Van De Weg ran her best time of the season and nearly equalled her mark from regional last season to beat out Bixler, who also set a season best, for the 300 M hurdles crown, finishing in 46.06. -The Adams Central 4x400 team set a new season best and won in 4:26.24.

-AC beat out South Adams for the 4x800 title, with both teams setting new season-best times.

- Adrienne McKean equalled her season-best mark of 5-01 to finish runner-up in the high jump to Woodlan’s Olivia Baumert.

-Megan Yoder set a new season best of 28-04 in the shot put and finished eighth.
