Annual Golden Meadows garage sale

This year’s garage sale of a great many donated items at Golden Meadow Home will be on Fri.and Sat., June 3 and 4.

The event, which also will offer hot dogs, chips, and soft drinks, will run from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. On Friday and from 8 a.m.-noon on Sat.

All proceeds from the sales will go to the home’s Special Needs Fund, which is used in various ways to support and entertain the residents.

Golden Meadows is on CR200E, just south of US 33 and beside the county’s waste transfer station.

Another fundraiser will be held at the home later this year: a hog roast. Last year, said Blankenship, numerous people drove through the driveway just to make monetary donations to the Special Needs Fund.
