84 RUNS IN FOUR DAYS: AC WINS AGAIN

- By DANE FUELLING

The Adams Central bats continued to crush the ball Tuesday as the Jets scored 17 runs to just one of Monroe Central and scored their 84th run in four games in four days to push their record to 12-3.

Jenna Cook smashed two home runs as part of a 4 for 4 night with four runs batted in and four more scored. Cook led off the fourth with a bomb to left and then did the same with two outs in the inning to score Ava Macklin and Athena Schwartz, making the score 15-1.

Maddie Hill threw just two innings and left the game with a 7-1 lead, likely due to the impending game with Heritage Wednesday night. She struck out four of the six batters she faced in her two perfect innings.

Jenna Cook threw the other three innings and allowed just one hit, a single to left by Jayme Brannan that ended up being the Golden Bears’ only hit of the game.

Hill finished the game 3 for 4 with two RBI and Kaylen Sprunger and Ava Macklin each had two hits and two RBI at the bottom of the lineup.
