One man, two departments, three charges

-

A Berne man was arrested Tuesday on three charges that involved both the Berne Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Department taking the man into custody at the Adams County Law Enforcement and Detention Center.

Aaron M. Sheets, 32, Summerset Lane, Berne, was arrested on a warrant by deputies for invasion of privacy and that charge does not carry any bond. Deputies added a resisting law enforcement charge without bond and Berne authorities tacked on another resisting law enforcement charge as well without bond.

The sheriff’s department is also holding Brian Moore, Jr., 33, Marshall Street, Decatur, on several charges. Moore had a bookin order for driving while suspended and having had a similar conviction within the past 10 years. That normally would have allowed him to be released under his own recognizance but a warrant was served on Moore for violation of his bond and he remains in custody without bond.

Three other men are being held in custody additionally on charges by the sheriff’s department.

John H. D. Russell, 33, rural Berne, was cited for domestic battery and is being held without bond.

Donald C. Guerrant, 22, Fort Wayne, was charged on a warrant for violation for probation and is being held without bond.

Dellas C. Hall, 29, New Haven, is being held without bond after a warrant for battery was served on him.
