Officer's discover damage to ball field

On Monday night, May 9th near the hour of midnight Decatur Officer’s discovered damage to the ball field in Kekionga Park. The person(s) responsibl­e used a vehicle to do donuts on the infield as well as the majority of left field. If you have informatio­n on who may be responsibl­e for these acts please contact a detective at 260-724-8646 or through Facebook messenger. DPD Detectives met with DEA agents this morning to drop off 42 boxes of unwanted meds that was collected over a period of time at the police station’s drop site mailbox. For the last several years, DPD has partnered with DEA’s “National Prescripti­on Drug Take Back Day” to show our commitment to our community’s safety and health, encouragin­g the public to remove unneeded medication­s from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.
