Boys & Girls Club talk:
The Decatur Rotary Club heard from the Boys & Girls Club of Adams County Executive Director Heath Moser and Program Director Andrea Hough recently. Moser reported that the Boys & Girls Club serves 536 youth with 81% of the total membership between 6 and 12 years old. Last year the Club, located in Decatur and Berne, served over 14,000 hot meals and provided over 2,000 snacks to area children. When students arrive, they begin their time with Power Hour and they have licensed teachers who help with homework. Club hours are 2:30p.m.-6:30p.m. on school days and 5:30 am to 5:00 pm during summer camp days. The Decatur Rotary Club meets weekly at the Back 40 Junction on Thursdays at noon.
