Carol Aurand
Carol S. Aurand, 85, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Swiss Village in Berne, IN. She was born in Putnam County, Ohio, on October 2, 1936, the daughter of Charles and Beulah (Wood) Seitz. On May 9, 1980, she married Donald E. Aurand. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and worked at General Electric Company, in the Customer Service Department. Carol enjoyed traveling, loved to golf and bowl in local women’s leagues. Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Don Aurand of Decatur; a step-son, Scott (Ronda) Aurand of Wichita, KS; a brother, Vernon (Carol Ann) Seitz of Decatur; a sister, Janet Evans of Decatur; a sister-in-law, Lavana Seitz of Decatur; a granddaughter, Ashley (David) Cravens of Frankfort, KY. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Winston & Raymond Seitz. Visitation will be from Noon – 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022, at Zion Lutheran Church, with visitation 1 hour prior, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Pastor James Voorman will be officiating and burial will immediately follow in Decatur Cemetery.
