Summer reading program at library
The Adams Public Library System announces that the children’s and young adult summer reading programs begin May 27 in Decatur and Geneva. The theme for this summer is “Oceans of Possibilities.”
Participants may register for one of three levels of summer reading programs:
Birth – Grade 2: readers of picture books with a goal of 25 picture books
Grade 2 through Grade 6: readers of chapter books with a goal of 500 pages
Ages 11-19: young adult readers with a goal of 750 pages
Families and individuals may use an online app to track books or pages read for all our Summer Reading programs. When the participant reaches goals, the reader will receive a virtual badge. At the next library visit, our summer readers may pick up prizes for their earned badges.
