Melanie Beer
Melanie Rae Beer, 48, of Decatur, IN passed away at Lutheran Hospital on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Melanie was born on February 8, 1974 in Laporte, Indiana to George W. and Cheryl Denise (Bunton) Meyers. On March 23, 2002, Melanie married Samuel Beer.
Melanie attended Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton. She was self-employed as a Massage Therapist.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Samuel Beer of Decatur; 3 daughters, Hannah, Becca and Jordyn Beer at home; a brother, Matthew (Karol) Meyers of Dripping Springs, Texas; 4 nieces and 7 nephews.
Melanie was preceded in death by her infant son Samuel Melvin II on 9/23/2005, her father, George, on January 11, 2022 and her mother, Cheryl on August 10, 2021.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, Decatur.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton, with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Calling 1 hour prior to service from 10:0011:00 at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Dale Church Cemetery.
