The Adams Public Library System has released their upcoming holiday schedule featuring events that are available to the public throughout the Christmas season. The events are listed below:

Santa Visits the Library on December 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.Visit with Santa and create a holiday craft. Parents are invited to bring their own camera to capture the precious moment. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library

Children’s 20 Day Reading Challenge kicks off at the beginning of the month. Pick up a reading card in Children’s Services, read 15 minutes per day for at least 20 days. Return the card to the library for a prize.

Snowman Challenge. Take a picture of your REAL snowman or your recycled snowman and submit the photo to msetili@apls.lib.in.us by Thursday, December 29th for display and a prize. You may also bring your actual recycled snowman in for display.

Christmas Scavenger Hunt begins in Decatur. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet in Children’s Services. Walk or drive around the community and look for Christmas decoration­s. Find and take pictures of five items in a row like Bingo. Present your photos to us in Children’s Services to earn a prize. The event is sponsored by Java Bean. In Geneva, visitors can pick up a sheet at the front desk and complete it to earn a prize.

Christmas Wrapped Books are available for those who want a surprising read. Christmas wrapped books are available in Adult Services in Decatur. The genre is marked, so readers can select their favorite genre.
