Judith Ann “Judy” Williams, 81, of Monroe, Indiana passed away Saturday morning, February 18, 2023 at her residence. Judy was born November 10, 1941 in Decatur, Indiana to the late Victor McBarnes and the late Martha (Eicher) McBarnes. She was united in marriage to Howard Williams on June 16, 1962 at High Street United Methodist Church in Geneva, Indiana. Judy worked at Richard’s Restaurant for many years, serving as a cook. She also worked at the Corner Deli in Monroe as well as Fairway and Burger Chef in Decatur. Judy loved helping others, whether by cooking, baking or making candy. She is remembered for making mints for weddings and other social events. Tending to her flower gardens was one of her favorite activities. She also enjoyed cruising the countrysid­e with her husband on their Honda motorcycle. Southern Indiana and Northern Kentucky were favorite weekend getaways on the motorcycle for Judy and Howard. Judy is lovingly survived by her husband of 60 years, Howard Williams of Monroe, Indiana; daughter, Marsha (Richard) Shilling of Quinlan, Texas; daughter, Melissa (Eric) Gage of Decatur, Indiana; son, Michael (Kelly) Williams of Decatur, Indiana; five grandchild­ren: Ashley (Angel) Flores of California, Meghan Secaur of Nevada, and Zachary Gage, Taylor Gage and Jace Williams, all of Decatur; and three great-grandchild­ren, Abbie, Adam and Angela Flores. Judy was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaugh­ter, Karlie Williams. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur.
