Police arrest five in county
Five individuals were booked in at the Adams County Law Enforcement and Detention Center in recent days by police officials in the county
Detained by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department on Saturday was Jacob E. Johnson, 22, Willshire, Ohio, on a warrant for violation of probation and also on a warrant for failure to appear. He is being held in custody without bond.
Jaron L. Hardy, Fort Wayne, was arrested by the Decatur Police Department Saturday on a warrant from Huntington County, He was held locally without bond pending a transfer to the custody of authorities in Huntington.
Decatur police also had three other arrests. Jody A. Taylor, 41, N. Ninth Street, Decatur, was charged on a warrant for three counts of theft. His bond was placed at $350 cash and $4,500 surety.
Corbin M. Welcher, 31, Huntertown, was cited Saturday for resisting law enforcement, obstruction of justice, speeding 56 in a 35 zone in the 200 block of N. 17th Street, disregarding and official traffic control device in the 200 block of N. 17th Street, violation of specialized driving privileges, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and endangering a person while operating a vehicle intoxicated. He is being held in custody without bond.
Domingo Velazquez, 41, Fort Wayne, was held Sunday for operating a motor vehicle without ever having received a license, for speeding 60 in a 50 zone on US 27 and for speeding 47 in a 35 zone on US 27. He is being held in custody without bond.
