Karlann Bieberich

Karlann Bieberich, 76, of Decatur Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Adams Woodcrest.

She was born on February 18, 1947, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Louis Koenemann and the late Erna (Gallmeyer) Koenemann. Karlann was united in marriage to Larry Bieberich on September 3, 1966 at St. John Lutheran Church, Bingen.

She was employed at Village Green Laundry in Decatur, where she retired in 2013. She also contract wallpapered at All American Homes in Decatur and was a secretary at Hoosier Wire Die in Fort Wayne.

Karlann was a talented seamstress, quilter, gardener, and enjoyed bird watching and the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Bieberich of Decatur, Indiana; son Alan (Amy) Bieberich of Decatur, Indiana; son, Mark (Andrea) Bieberich of Austin, Texas; sister, Brenda Cartwright of Westfield, Indiana; brother, Dan (Tonya) Koenemann, of Monroe, Michigan; and five grandchildren, Katelyn Bieberich; Chance and Bethany Gephart, Sam and John Bieberich.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Neil Koenemann.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Preble, with Pastor Dr. Daniel Brege officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Preble cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at the Zwick & Jahn funeral home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service.

Preferred memorial can be given to Worship Anew or ACRES Land Trust.
