PURDUE’S SUPPORTING CAST HELPS SET TABLE FOR MARCH MADNESS
The Bellmont Braves placed five wrestlers in the finals of tonight’s second session of the NE8 Middle School wrestling tournament at New Haven, holding on to the chance of winning the tournament trophy back in 2023.
The all-important consolation semifinal round will kick off tonight’s action before wrestlers in each weight class meet to determine the six spots on the podium at each weight.
East Noble has a slight advantage with six young wrestlers in the finals, but the Braves meet East Noble head to head in three of their five championship bouts and will have a chance to win all three of them and cut the deficit. Indian Springs, the middle school for Columbia City, also has five in the finals.
