Behavioral Health to increase availability
During the Nursing and Operations administrative report at the recent meeting of the Adams Health Network Board of Trustees, it was announced that Behavioral Health will soon be open on Fridays throughout the day to allow for more community access to counseling. CNO and COO Chris Butler explained that the changes will begin in August of this year and will provide counseling from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“This is great news for everybody,” stated Butler as she provided her report for the board.
The announcement came as the branch of AMH is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month, placing an increased focus on the community and its attunement with nature. Recently, Behavioral Health Manager Baldemar Silva and therapist Allison Stucky had the opportunity to do a presentation for the Smith Brothers supervisor team centered around drugs in the workplace. They were able to explain how to build awareness and how to support addicted employees.
