14 tickets handed out by officers

Adams County law enforcement officers were busy with their ticket books in recent days handing out citations to 14 individuals.

Cited by the Decatur Police Department were James F. Hunter, 32, New Haven, for speeding 45 in a 30 zone at N. Piqua Road and Eastbrook Drive; Matthew P. Fleming, 28, Van Wert, Ohio, for disregarding a stop sign at CR 500 W and 600 N; Paula J. Gremaux, 62, rural Decatur, for disobeying a a traffic control device in the 200 block of N. Second Street; Sabbina J. Adkins, 24, Huntington, speeding 50 in a 35 zone in the 1000 block of N. 13th Street; Victor Rosa, 49, Fort Wayne, for driving while suspended with a similar prior conviction within the past 10 years; Dixie K. Amstutz, 83, Bollman Street, Decatur, for not wearing a required seat belt; Jared M. Curie, 30, rural Decatur, for not wearing a required seat belt and for speeding 43 in a 30 zone in the 1400 west block of Monroe Street; Farhad Amarkhit, 25, Fort Wayne, for speeding 53 in a 35 zone in the 800 block of S. 13th Street; Jared A. Yorke, 37, Fort Wayne, for speeding 51 in a 40 zone in the 1200 block of N. 13th Street; and Makenzie G. Barger, 24, rural Decatur, for speeding 49 in a 35 zone in the 1100 block of N. 13th Street.

Charged by the Adams County Sheriff’s Department were Monique F. Meyer, 26, rural Decatur, for driving while suspended at US 27 and CR 200 W; Alexis D. Gutierrez-Zapata, 61, N. Second Street, for disregarding a stop sign at Second and Jackson; Denise R. Springer, 56, Fort Wayne, for speeding 66 in a 50 zone on US 27 at Beech Drive; and Michael J. Quillen, 42, Celina, Ohio, for speeding 66 in a 55 zone at SR 124 and CR 500 W.
