Correction to previous story
The Friday edition of the Decatur Daily Democrat contained information about fees to play at Cross Creek Golf Club in Decatur that was inaccurate.
For the 2024 season at Cross Creek, a membership costs $1,250 for a single player. $1,450 is the cost for a couple. Memberships for families (children must be 26 years old or younger and live in the house) cost $1,650.
Senior memberships are $1,150. Senior couples can secure a membership for $1,350. College students can pay $650 dollars for their season spot. Juniors (players up to 17 years old) can do so for $400.
Reserving a cart for the season carries an additional charge on top of the membership fee.
Most of the trail fees at the course cost between $750 and $850.
The range fee membership is $275. For couples, that price is $375. $475 is the total for families.
Cross Creek members will be able to use the range for free and get 10% off all proshop merchandise with the exception of golf balls.
Those who do not have memberships can play nine holes on the Majorki course for $17 ($27 with a cart) and 18 holes for $27 ($43 with a cart) through the week.
Playing the course on weekends or holidays will cost an additional $3 in each respect.
With a cart, the Biggs-Kreigh course can be played for $34 (nine holes), $45 (18 holes) or $60 (27 holes) on weekdays. Like the Majorki course, BiggsKreigh is $3 more expensive in those categories on holidays and weekends.
Monday-Thursday the organization runs a special that allows golfers to play 18 holes and use a cart for $38 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Spectator/event carts are available for $15 on weekdays and $25 on weekends. Non-golfers can reserve a cart for $5 and $10 on weekdays and weekends, respectively.
A bucket of 30-35 golf balls costs $6. $8 will get players a basket that carries 70-75 golf balls.
