We will always cherish the precious moments we shared with her, and will be forever grateful to her for being a living example to us in doing the “right thing.” Thalia was a proud woman, she was tireless, and lived to give to others—never expecting anything in return. She was born in Flambouro, Greece on December 9, 1929. As the second eldest of 6 siblings, she helped the family survive during the aftermath of WWII after she lost her father, age 43. In 1967, at the young age of 38 she came to the United States with her husband George, and their four children, with very little in their possession. They both worked very hard to create a happy and loving home for their family. Thalia was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochos Society and past president of Agia Paraskevi. She was known for her abundant garden, delicious pitas, and “rethaniki” that she offered with great love at countless “mercy meals” of family and friends. She was a beautiful spirit that will be missed but will be remembered forever. “Kalo Paradiso” Manoula mas glikia!

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Sept 25th, from 9am-11am with Funeral Service to follow at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (962 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607). Interment will follow at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Rochester, NY.
