PITTSFORD - Bernice Heberle Darcy (Bernie) passed away in Pittsford, NY on September 15, 2023 at age 94. She was predecease­d by her loving husband, Jack; her daughter in-law, Victoria Darcy; her parents, Joseph A. and Consuelo Heberle; her brother, Joseph Heberle; sisters, Edna Madden, Babe Nientemp, Betty Vandenberg and Beverly Hanss. She is survived by her four children, Anne Steele (Benjamin), John Darcy, Marie Murray (Andrew) and James Darcy (Rosemary). She is also survived by her grandchild­ren, Julia Moscaritol­o (Steve), John Steele (Melissa), Thomas Murray (Emily), Sean Darcy (Ashley), William Murray (Carolyn), Sam Steele, Michael Darcy (Katie), Matthew Darcy (Brianna), Blair Darcy; her five great grandchild­ren, Anthony and Marin Moscaritol­o, Jackson Darcy, Maxwell Steele and Jack Murray; her sisters, Janet McNulty Battle and Suzanne Mackey (Paul); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bernie grew up on Culver Road in Irondequoi­t. She attended St. Ambrose grammar school and graduated from Our Lady of Mercy High School in 1946. She worked as a secretary for ten years prior to marrying Jack Darcy and raising a family. She was a founding member of Our Lady Queen of Peace church and a long-term member of her Seton group. She took being a homemaker to the next level. Her home was always immaculate, her cooking delicious, her entertaini­ng gracious, but most importantl­y her family and friends were well loved.

The family would like to express their appreciati­on to the staff of Glenmere Assisted Living Memory Care for their compassion­ate care.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 10AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace, 601 Edgewood Ave., Rochester, NY 14618. There are no prior calling hours. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
