Janet Jackson books Little Caesars Arena stop as part of 2023 tour
Janet Jackson will play her first Detroit show in six years when she visits Little Caesars Arena on May 24.
Jackson’s LCA stop is part of her just-announced Together Again tour, marking her 50th year in showbiz and the 25th anniversary of “The Velvet Rope,” the album that spawned the 1997 hit single that lent the new tour its name.
The Together Again run, announced Monday, is set to kick off April 14 in Hollywood, Florida, crisscrossing North America before wrapping up June 21 in Seattle. Rapper-actor Ludacris has been tapped as opener.
Tickets for the Little Caesars Arena show and other tour stops will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday at citientertainment.com.
The May 24 concert will be Jackson’s second at LCA: In October 2017, she was among the first batch of artists to perform at the new downtown arena.
