MEGABUS WILL BRING SERVICE BACK TO DETROIT
Partnership will connect the city with 13 locations
Megabus, one of the largest bus services in North America, announced a new partnership with Miller Transportation that will expand its footprint in the Midwest by connecting Detroit with more destinations.
Meghan O’Hare, director of marketing at Megabus’ parent company, Coach USA, said in an email to the Detroit Free Press that “this partnership will allow for expanded service options to more than 50 Midwest cities and will connect Detroit with 13 cities.” Those include Albion, Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Jackson, Kalamazoo, and Ypsilanti in Michigan as well as Indianapolis, South Bend, and some other cities in Indiana.
Chicago, Louisville, Nashville, and Memphis will also be connected to additional locations.
Megabus is known for providing bus services across the U.S. and Canada at an affordable price. Some bus fares are as low as $1, depending on stipulations. However, the price can range depending on location, date, and time.
According to a news release from the two companies, Miller Transportation has dominated the Midwest bus industry for over 85 years and it looks forward to the partnership.
John Miller, CEO of Miller Transportation, said “By working together with Megabus and selling our tickets on megabus.com, Miller Transportation can sell excess seating inventory and introduce our brand and convenient destinations to new customers across North America.”
According to megabus.com, the Detroit Miller Transportation bus stop is at the Detroit Bus Station, 1001 Howard St.
Tickets are available for purchase for travel beginning Jan. 25.
