Carmen Amato Hrynewich
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carmen Amato Hrynewich. A pillar of strength, love, and faith, Carmen touched the lives of many and leaves behind an enduring legacy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Hrynewich, and her dear brother Joseph Amato Jr. and sister-in-law Johanna.
Carmen is remembered with much love by her children: Michael Hrynewich (Laura), Mark Hrynewich (Katie), and Maria DiPonio (Tom). Her love as a grandmother shone brightly in the lives of her grandchildren: Tommy, Anthony, and Michael DiPonio.
She also held a special place in her heart for her niece and goddaughter, Cori, daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna Amato. Her bonds of kinship extended further to endearing family members Jackie Hespen (Phil), who is also her goddaughter, and Gilda Rinkle (Bob).
Carmen’s dedication to her family was paralleled only by her unwavering commitment to her Catholic faith. Her steadfast devotion was evident as she never missed a Sunday mass, symbolizing her deep connection with her beliefs.
In addition to her personal accomplishments and roles, Carmen was the proud owner of Amato’s restaurant for many years. Those who had the privilege of knowing Carmen at Amato’s cherished her warm presence and the memorable moments they shared.
Carmen’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide those fortunate enough to have known her.
In remembrance, the family invites loved ones to reflect upon the cherished moments spent with Carmen and to celebrate the beautiful life she led. Her spirit, though departed, will forever live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved her.
