Lightning 3, Kings 2 (OT): Nick Perbix scored 2:02 into overtime and host Tampa Bay rallied from two goals down in the third period to make Jon Cooper — who got his coaching start at Lansing Catholic Central — the thirdfaste­st NHL coach to 500 wins. Scotty Bowman (825) and Bruce Boudreau (837) were the only ones to get there faster than Cooper’s 839 games. Cooper is the fastest to do it with one franchise, and 29th overall to reach the milestone.

Kraken 5, Sabres 2: Alex Wennberg, Jaden Schwartz and Matty Beniers scored secondperi­od goals and visiting Seattle pulled away for its seventh consecutiv­e win. Jeff Skinner and Alex Tuch scored for the Sabres. Devon Levi made 21 saves.

Jose to a season-high 12th straight loss. Henry Thrun had the lone goal for the Sharks, who have dropped all 12 of the games in the streak in regulation while getting outscored 54-17. Their last win came on Dec. 12 against Winnipeg. Kaapo Kahkonen surrendere­d four goals on 20 shots, while Mackenzie Blackwood stopped 22 of 25 shots in relief.

Vancouver completed a sweep of New Yorkarea teams. Elias Pettersson also scored for the first-place Canucks. Brock Nelson scored both goals for New York – on the power play at 11:11 of second after Vancouver had a 3-0 lead — and at 15:15 of the third. Pettersson, who has 53 points, scored twice and had four points on Monday when the Canucks beat the Rangers 6-3 at Madison Square Garden. Vancouver also defeated the Devils 6-4 on Saturday.
