Stars 7, Avalanche 4: Wyatt Johnston and Jamie Benn each had a goal and two assists, Tyler Seguin scored twice for the visiting Stars.

Matt Duchene had a goal and an assist, Roope Hintz and Mason Marchment had goals, Thomas Harley had three assists and Jake Oettinger turned away 34 shots for travel-weary Dallas (49-20-9, 107 points), which moved closer to clinching the division crown with its ninth win in 10 games.

A windstorm in Colorado on Saturday forced Dallas to stay the night in Chicago after a 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks. The Stars flew into Denver on Sunday morning.

Jonathan Drouin, Sean Walker, Artturi Lehkonen and Brandon Duhaime had goals, Nathan MacKinnon added two assists and Alexandar Georgiev made 30 saves for Colorado (48-24-6, 102 points).

The Avalanche were without Mikko Rantanen (concussion protocol).

Blues 6, Ducks 5 (SO): Jordan Kyrou earned three assists and scored the only goal in the shootout for the visiting Blues.

Robert Thomas had a goal and three assists for the Blues (41-32-5, 87 points), who have earned at least one point in seven of their past nine games.

Zack Bolduc, Matthew Kessel, Pavel Buchnevich and Brayden Schenn also scored for St. Louis. Jordan Binnington made 33 saves, then blanked the Ducks in the shootout.

Frank Vatrano and Leo Carlsson each scored twice for the Ducks (25-48-5, 55 points), who have won just two of their past 16 games.

Nikita Nesterenko also scored for Anaheim. Trevor Zegras, Isac Lundestrom and Alex Killorn had two assists apiece, and Lukas Dostal made 26 saves.

Senators 3, Capitals 2 (OT): Jake Sanderson scored 41 seconds into overtime to lift visiting Ottawa. Sanderson’s 10th goal of the season capped a comeback for Ottawa, which trailed midway through the third period before Ridly Greig scored to force overtime.
