A pop-up store offering brands from The Somerset Collection will open next week in downtown Detroit in time for the NFL draft.

The store, called Luxury Locker Room, will open April 17 in the Metropolitan Building above The Detroit Shoppe, and offer retail capsules from more than 25 brands sold at The Somerset Collection in Troy.

“We make it our mission to support Detroit and all the city does to attract world-class events to our region,” Nathan Forbes, managing partner of The Forbes Co., which owns Somerset, said in a news release Tuesday.

The pop-up will join a few others that are opening downtown in time for the NFL draft, which takes place April 25-27, including Born In Detroit, which offers Detroit-themed apparel, and the NFL Draft Shop, which is set to open April 20 and offer gear for all 32 NFL teams and for the NFL draft.

The Luxury Locker Room will have local artisans and craftsmen on-site to engrave fragrance bottles, personalize luggage tags and customize sneakers with graffiti art. There will also be a LEGO bar where guests can select a kit or draft their favorite team colors into a custom box.

Every adult who visits the Luxury Locker Room will receive a gift of a designer accessory or home good from one of Somerset Collection’s retailers.

Guests who visit The Detroit Shoppe, on the first floor of the Metropolitan Building, will receive a Detroit snack bag with Faygo pop, Better Made chips and a coney island hot dog, as well as a complimentary umbrella.

The Luxury Locker Room will be open until April 27, from noon to 8 p.m. daily and for extended hours on draft days.
