LONG BEACH - Timothy Michael Nowicki of Long Beach, CA, passed away on March, 10, 2024.

Tim was born in Detroit, MI on Jan. 25, 1948 to his parents, Max and Michaeline Nowicki. Tim was the youngest of four siblings, joining his brothers Tom and Bill, and his sister Margie.

Tim graduated from Michigan State University in 1972. Throughout his life, Tim remained a devoted Spartan, never losing his love for the green and white. After college, Tim was passionate about softball as a player/manager, and was eventually inducted into the USSSA softball hall of fame.

In California, he continued to sing and perform, lending his baritone voice to choirs, chorale groups, and many community theater productions. He also remained a strong supporter of all of the Detroit sports teams, even attending Detroit Tigers fantasy camp in Florida. Tim retired from the DCMA in 2006 after a distinguished career where he won many awards, including special recognition for his contribution to the C-17 program.

Tim will be missed by his sister Margie and his brotherin-law, Stan. He will also be dearly missed by his brother Bill and sister-in-law, Nadine. Tim leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including David (Claudia), Katie, Steve (Tina), Bill (Casey), Adam (Anne), Emily (Adam), and Max—as well as many grand nieces and nephews.
