ESPN BET sportsbook opens 1st retail location in downtown Detroit
An inaugural retail location for ESPN BET sportsbook and restaurant launched on Wednesday inside downtown Detroit’s Hollywood Greektown Casino. This physical Detroit casino space is in partnership with PENN Entertainment and ESPN, and its opening coincides with downtown Detroit hosting the 2024 NFL draft now through Saturday.
While the newly rebranded ESPN BET app and website launched last November, the Hollywood Casino at Greektown in Detroit is the first physical retail location for the brand. ESPN BET is available online in more than a dozen states, including Michigan.
“We’re thrilled to open the first ESPN BET retail location in Detroit and become part of a community of deeply passionate sports fans,” Mike Morrison, vice president of ESPN BET and ESPN Fantasy, said in a release. “We want fans to ... embrace a first-class betting experience and we’re excited to showcase the ESPN BET brand in a contemporary space."
Inside the 4.500-square-foot space, located on the upper level of the casino, are multiple viewing screens, including a 30-foot viewing wall and wagering kiosks. Viewers can watch multiple sporting events from the high-back comfy booths, high- and low-top tables, and bar seating. On the lower level is an additional ESPN BET area with sports viewing at the casino’s Rock Bar.
Food offerings include elevated classic bar and pub fare, featuring burgers, a variety of chicken wings with sauces and rubs and nachos, according to its online menu. Entrees feature steaks, fish and chips, and a separate menu for Detroit-style pizza. You can also order breakfast and many shareable items. From the bar are its signature cocktails, craft and tap beer, wine, and hard seltzers.

at our property throughout the week.”
With the NFL draft happening nearby — Hollywood Casino at Greektown is less than a mile from the action — ESPN is hosting a variety of programming and on-air segments from the site. On Thursday and Friday, ESPN BET Live, the daily sports betting show on ESPN2, will air from the casino's sportsbook.
ESPN BET hours are 11-11 p.m. MondayThursday, 11 a.m-midnight Friday, 10 a.m.midnight Saturday and 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday.
