DODGE

-

Dodge is the most prolific of ‘R’car manufacturers with its “Road/Track” series. Since the“R/T” trim was introduced on the 1967 Coronet it has been applied to nearly 20 different body styles and hundreds of individual models—including some of the most potent and prized muscle cars ever

1967-70 CORONET R/T

The first R/T was one of the fastest muscle cars you could buy. It came standard with a heavy-duty performance suspension, bigger brakes, and a beefy rear axle—all deemed necessary to tame the 375hp 440 Magnum which came standard with the R/T package. There was one optional engine—the legendary 426 Hemi. Just 238 customers opted for the upgrade, but those who did had the fastest, most powerful muscle car you could buy in 1967 (well, in a tie with its cousin the GTX!).

1968-71 CHARGER R/T

The Coronet may have launched the R/T line, but the 1968 Charger perfected it. One of the prettiest muscle cars of all time, the second-generation Charger has become a darling of collectors and, thanks to several high-profile movie and TV roles, is one of the most beloved vehicles ever. Taut curves and a sexy coke-bottle profile along with gorgeous flying buttress-style C-pillars complementthe standard R/T 440 and optional 426 Hemi.
