AS THE FIRST stop for the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League and the second stop for The Carolina Truck and Tractor Pullers, Rudy’s Performance Parts Season Opener got the year’s pulling events off to a big dirt-slinging start. The grandstands were filled with enthusiastic spectators cheering on their favorite drivers. On Friday night, track conditions were a bit damp due to the downpour of rain the prior evening, but that did not stop drivers from pushing their rigs for every inch they could muster. Saturday’s warmer weather dried the track and gave pullers the extra amount of traction they needed to make longer pulls with their big-horsepower oil-burners than they did the night before.
Scheid Diesel Service’s ARP Super Stock Diesel Truck driven by Kent Crowder had a good weekend at Rudy’s, pulling the sled to a First Place finish on Friday night and Fourth Place on Saturday.
