Sergio Marchionne, the chief executive officer of Fiat Chrysler and the man credited with transforming Fiat and Chrysler brands (and saving Chrysler from failure after the Great Recession), passed away at the age of 66.
Commercial Carrier Journal reports that diesel taxes will increase in Oklahoma, Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, and Connecticut. This is the first increase in Oklahoma since 1987. Nebraska’s diesel-fuel tax will decrease, however.
Volvo’s first U.S. manufacturing plant begins vehicle production in South Carolina in the fall. A company spokesman says,
“The Charleston plant establishes the U.S. as our third home market.”
