THE CHEVROLET Colorado and GMC Canyon continue in 2019 with just minor changes. But can you blame them when they live in a segment of one? The duo of midsize trucks are the only models in their class to offer a diesel-engine option, a 2.8L Duramax I-4 that puts out 181 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. If you’re looking for a good allaround pickup with some towing capacity, the Colorado can be optioned to pull up to 7,700 pounds (rear-wheel drive, crew cab). The diesel is only available in crew cab models but enables them to get an impressive 22 city/30 highway mpg with rear-wheel drive and 20/28 when opting for four-wheel drive.
