Diesel World

EDITOR’S NOTE

2021 EVENTS SEASON

-

Back in February I was looking forward to my first 2020 event, Rudy’s Spring Jamboree, and then the dumpster fire that came to be 2020 happened. After a few weeks of lock down I got antsy, many of you have heard this before, so we got our own race season started with the COVID 660 drag races at Wagler Motorsports Part in late May. Then after that race, the country was still for the most part closed, so the next one got planned and happened in July, again at Wagler Motorsports Park. By late July we were starting to open up again and events were happening, so to Weekend on the Edge we went, then back to Waglers for some sled pulls, and finally to

Bean’s Diesel for their Blackout In The Country (which unfortunately was postponed due to weather).

This year changed me and changed Diesel World as a brand, for the better I think. Getting forced to do things differently can bring out greatness. Long story short, if you followed us in 2020, you saw some changes, well, we’re going big for 2021. We’ll still be doing everything we always have with the magazine, website, social, etc., but we’ll be adding 16 professional live feeds next event season plus four of our own events and smaller live feeds at up to 30 other events in the diesel and racing scene. If you can’t make it out to an event, you’ll still be able to see what happened, in real time, via our Youtube and Facebook pages.

First event for the live feed will be Diesel Invasion in Moab (full-size diesel’s tackling the iconic trails in Moab Utah, during Easter Jeep Safari, that’s right we’re disrupting Jeep week in

Moab with trucks!), then ATS’S Gauntlet Challenge (assuming they both are allowed to happen of course). The first Diesel World event, our own hosted event, will be in California in March 2021 (dates and exact location are TBD). This event, as well as the other three happening in 2021 will feature diesel drag racing (via the new Hole Shot diesel racing series that was recently started out west), gas vs diesel drags, plus dyno competitions, dirt drags, burnout pits, donut competitions and more where possible. The working schedule is below. Come check out a show be it ours or anyone else’s. Diesel events a tons of fun. But if you can’t make it, be sure to check out the live feed!

I’ll see you out there.
