Steve and Cindi Medlen,
founded Medlen’s House of Beef on April 2, 1979. Steve
was a third generation meat processor who learned the trade from his father and
uncles. The House of Beef
began as a custom meat processing and butchering plant that quickly gained a
reputation for quality products.
As demand for their offerings kept increasing,
custom BBQ’s and a smokehouse were added to satisfy the community’s appetite for their products. Eventually, a full service catering business and restaurant was also introduced serving cold beer, wine and the best Tri Tip and smoked meats in the valley. The restaurant has become a local landmark and favorite gathering place for both locals and travelers from all over. Be sure to stop in for lunch, dinner or a meal for the road!
