Hardworking pegboard can be pretty, too! See how to use it in unexpected ways throughout your home.

BACK IT UP Increase your kitchen’s storage capacity with pegboard. Apply it as backsplash, add it to the inside of cabinet doors, or hang a piece in the pantry.

For our backsplash, this photo, we used polypropylene pegboard, which is durable and water-resistant. Use a table saw or circular saw to cut 24×48-inch panels of DuraBoard Polypropylene Pegboard (available at homedepot. com) to fifit fit the backsplash area, piecing as needed. Hang with a DuraHook Pegboard Mounting and Spacer Kit, and caulk the edges if needed.
