For pil­low tas­sels, above left, cut ten 8-inch lengths of wool rov­ing yarn in your choice of col­ors. (Use more than 10 for a fuller tas­sel.) Find the cen­ter of the pieces of yarn and tie them to­gether at that point with a 4-inch length of yarn. Fold the yarn bundle in half. Tie a small piece of yarn about ¼ inch from where the yarn is tied to­gether to form the bulb of the tas­sel. Thread two small wooden beads to a loop formed by the 4-inch yarn, and use a nee­dle and thread to sew the loop to the pil­low corner. For the pil­low with ex­tended yarn, above right, fol­low the in­struc­tions, op­po­site, but in­stead of turn­ing the pil­low­case in­side out and fin­ish­ing, leave the yarn ex­posed on the ends and trim to de­sired length.
