DEEP POCKETS

Do It Yourself - - MAKE IT -

Adding simple felt shapes in complementary colors to storage bins makes them a part of a room’s decorative story, left. For the semicircle motif, trace around a drinking glass to create a paper pattern. Place the pattern on the felt and cut a circle.

Cut felt circle in half. Repeat until you have six halves. Lightly spray with adhesive, then press onto bin. For scissor holder, cut a strip of felt; lightly spray each end with adhesive and press onto the bin. Leave enough space for the scissors to fit securely behind the strip. Cut a small semicircle of felt in a contrasting color and attach to the felt strip holding the scissors.

For the remaining bins, create pockets in various shapes and sizes. Attach them to the bins with spray adhesive, leaving an opening for slipping in cards or pencils.

ITEMS STASHED IN POCKETS CAN SERVE AS REMINDERS OF WHAT’S STORED INSIDE OR TASKS YOU NEED TO COMPLETE.
