Show off your textile talents by framing woven works in a grid of shadow boxes, this photo. Here, a collection of 9-inch-square tapestries is crafted using the same pattern (see page 58 for how-to), but each showcases a variation on their shared color palette. Heavy-duty double-stick tape holds each piece in place inside a shadow box. For a long-term hold, poke holes in the cardboard back of the frame and use a heavy-duty needle to stitch each piece to the back in a few places.
THE TASSELS, CALLED RYA KNOTS, ADD FUN FLAIR TO THE TAPESTRIES, BUT FOR A MORE REFINED LOOK, LEAVE THEM OFF THE TOP AND BOTTOM.
