St. Paddy’s Day tea set for March 17

CAMBRIDGE — The Dorch­ester County His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety will be host­ing its third St. Paddy’s Day Tea on Satur­day, March 17, from noon to 2 p.m. in the Mered­ith House, ca. 1760. Reser­va­tions are re­quired as space is lim­ited. The cost is $30 for DCHS mem­bers, $35 for those who are not.

The Mered­ith House will be trans­formed into Woo­ley’s Pub and guests will be served ac­cord­ingly. Cos­tumed do­cents will serve a full tea, com­plete with Ir­ish fa­vorites in­clud­ing sa­vories and deca­dent sweets. In ad­di­tion, pre­pare to be en­ter­tained by the pub wenches and pos­si­bly a leprechaun. An Ir­ish sing along al­ways hits the right note.

The Mered­ith House is lo­cated at 1003 Green­way Drive in Cambridge and there is plenty of park­ing. Vis­i­tors will also en­joy a tour of the other his­toric build­ings on the prop­erty. Reser­va­tions may be made by call­ing 410-228-7953 or email dchs@ver­i­zon.net.
