Michael H. Holecheck


FED­ER­ALS­BURG — Michael H. Holecheck, beloved fa­ther and friend, passed away at the Caro­line Hospice House on Sun­day, May 13, 2018. He was 59.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1959 in Seaford, DE, the son of the late Harry F. Holecheck and Mary Hig­gins Holecheck. He grad­u­ated from North Dorch­ester High School in 1977 and later at­tended Ch­e­sa­peake Col­lege where he re­ceived an Ad­vanced Cer­tifi­cate in weld­ing.

His pas­sion was farm­ing and he loved to grow straw­ber­ries and asparagus for his “Home Grown Pro­duce” stands. He ran a Christ­mas tree lot for many years where he would make hand­made wreaths.

He was the owner and op­er­a­tor of M&H Weld­ing and Boiler Re­pair for many years as an ac­com­plished welder.

He loved to goose hunt and was an avid com­peti­tor in the World Cham­pi­onship Goose Call­ing con­test at the Water­fowl Fes­ti­val in Eas­ton, MD. He also en­joyed rock fish­ing, the great out­doors, and was al­ways ready for an ad­ven­ture. Michael was larger than life and will truly be missed by many.

He is sur­vived by his daugh­ter, Mag­gie Jo Holecheck; a brother and sis­ter; nieces, aunts, un­cles, cousins, and very dear friends.

In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he is pre­ceded in death by his un­cle, Joseph Holecheck, and an aunt, Kather­ine “Kitty” Holecheck.
