Fran­chot hon­ors Cam­bridge res­tau­rant

— Comp­trol­ler Peter Fran­chot stopped at ThaiTalian In­fu­sion Cui­sine in Cam­bridge Wed­nes­day, Aug. 15, and hon­ored owner An­to­nio Il­liano and his fam­ily for their spe­cial brand of au­then­tic re­cip­i­ents they bring to Dorch­ester County.

ThaiTalian In­fu­sion Cui­sine, 300 Wash­ing­ton Street, opened in Oc­to­ber 2016. Il­liano was born and raised in Naples, Italy, and moved to Cam­bridge about a decade ago af­ter work­ing as a chef in New Jersey and New York.

The res­tau­rant serves a va­ri­ety of in­ter­na­tional-in­spired dishes, as well as some lo­cal fa­vorites. Want a slice or a whole pizza, ThaiTalian In­fu­sion Cui­sine has you cov­ered.

The Ital­ian menu fea­tures Im­ported Pasta Sor­rento, Lasagna Clas­sica, baked Pasta al For­rno, spaghetti and homemade

meat­balls and more. The Thai­land menu in­cludes Pad Thai, stir fried with sea­sonal lo­cal veg­eta­bles, Pad Ka Prow, Gaeng Daeng and Pad Cashew.

“I wanted to swing by and give this res­tau­rant spe­cial recog­ni­tion on be­half of the state,” Fran­chot said. “We have a $350 bil­lion GDP for our econ­omy, and 70 per­cent of it comes from busi­nesses like this.

“They are the back­bone of our great state,” he said. “They pro­vide won­der­ful things. You pro­vide a friendly, wel­com­ing res­tau­rant where fam­i­lies and friends come to en­joy su­pe­rior ser vice, and ex­cel­lent Ital­ian and Thai food made from the fresh­est in­gre­di­ents that are har­vested from sur­round­ing farms and the wa­ter­ways of Del­marva.”

Il­liano also pre­pares Strom­boli, Cal­zones, house sal­ads from his fam­ily recipes. Lo­cals fa­vorites on the menu, in­clude crabby taters, hur­ri­cane fries and sea­sonal soups.
