Dorch­ester stu­dents shine at Mid-At­lantic Math­e­mat­ics Chal­lenge

CAM­BRIDGE — The num­bers added up for the teams of high school ju­niors from Cam­bridge-South Dorch­ester and North Dorch­ester High Schools who took part in the re­cent Mid-At­lantic Math­e­mat­ics Chal­lenge at the Univer­sity of Mary­land East­ern Shore. Cam­bridge-South Dorch­ester placed sec­ond in the team chal­lenge, while North Dorch­ester High School came in fourth. Cam­bridge-South Dorch­ester stu­dents made a clean sweep of all com­peti­tors in the in­di­vid­ual chal­lenge with Devon Doll win­ning first place, Bryce Jones pick­ing up sec­ond and a tie for the third place spot be­tween Jake Hur­ley and Brooke Wind­sor. While vis­it­ing Univer­sity of Mary­land East­ern Shore for the com­pe­ti­tion, stu­dents had the op­por­tu­nity to tour the new Engi­neer­ing and Aviation Science Com­plex and ex­plore aca­demic pro­grams of­fered by the univer­sity.
