Dorchester students shine at Mid-Atlantic Mathematics Challenge
CAMBRIDGE — The numbers added up for the teams of high school juniors from Cambridge-South Dorchester and North Dorchester High Schools who took part in the recent Mid-Atlantic Mathematics Challenge at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Cambridge-South Dorchester placed second in the team challenge, while North Dorchester High School came in fourth. Cambridge-South Dorchester students made a clean sweep of all competitors in the individual challenge with Devon Doll winning first place, Bryce Jones picking up second and a tie for the third place spot between Jake Hurley and Brooke Windsor. While visiting University of Maryland Eastern Shore for the competition, students had the opportunity to tour the new Engineering and Aviation Science Complex and explore academic programs offered by the university.
