CAMBRIDGE — The Heritage Museums and Gardens of Dorchester and the staff of the Dorchester County Historical Society will host a Heritage Potluck at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 19. The luncheon is free and open to the public with one caveat: Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert that is a family recipe.

This pre-holiday gathering has become a tradition at the Heritage Museums and visitors will be encouraged to share family customs, stories and, this year, their holiday menus. This casual affair will be a prelude to the holidays and possibly new traditions.

The Todd Research Center will be open for those who wish to start or work on family history or local interests. Whether someone is just starting on the family history path or thirty years down the road, the support to make your efforts successful can be found here.

For information about this event, call 410-228-7953 or email [email protected]izon.net. The Heritage Museums and Gardens are located at 1003 Greenway Drive, Cambridge.
