On the Job and Enjoying It!

DREAM TEEN Magazine - - Letter From the Editor -

DREAM TEEN Magazine was privileged to cover the GEAR UP youth enrichment program for the Nassau Community College (NCC). This was an oppotuniy that we have been waiting for. NCC agreed to partner with DREAM TEEN Mag. The initiative is to cover GEAR UP’s progress with students and to give our reader updates. DREAM TEEN Mag also covered the Roosevelt Alumni Golf Tournament with Dr. Julius Erving, and other community events.

Several community programs that are geared to enhance our student and promote education are in the neighborhoods in which we live. I was asked, How do you find such talent?” “That’s not difficult,” I said. We have a plethora of talent in our communities.

The girl or boy next door could be the next CEO of a major corporation. Though we may speculate on the future of our youth, unbeknownst to us, but known by God, we have no idea of God’s plans for us. A great story is our First Lady Michelle Obama. Who would have ever thought a little girl living on the second floor of a two-story house on Euclid Street in Chicago’s South Shore would graduate from Princeton University and Harvard Law School. This esteemed first lady’s story is so intriguing. She would meet her future husband and the future 44th president of the united states at the Sidley Austin law firm, and their first date would be the Spike Lee movie Do the Right Thing.

You could be in the midst of a future commander and chief. They could be among the children you come in contact with. Speculation is a tool used to kill the dream. He or she may not be perfect, but they may be in purpose. Encourage to push forward. Your words could be the catalyst to a monumental dream.
