aking a New Year’s resolution is easy and a common thing to do. Not sticking with your resolution is easy and also a common thing to do. Students unite and declare this year will be different! Let’s greet 2015 with optimism, enthusiasm and great expectation. Plan to be at your best for 2015 and years to come. Use this list of 10 common student resolutions to help you have a spectacular 2015! Review What Is Important To You. Review your to-do list, priorities, resources and time to better reflect what means most to you. Improve Your Grades. Know your learning style and seek help in areas where help is needed. Attend workshops, join a study group and research study tips that will help you improve your grades and grow as a student. Clean Up And Get Organized. Remove the clutter in your life. Donate, give, or throw away items that are of no use. When you have a clutter free workspace (mental and physical), you free and clear your mind. Be Health Conscious. Get moving! Join a gym that fits your budget or simply work-out at home or outside. Make healthy food choices. Get More Sleep. A well-rested mind is always alert and ready to learn. Good students know that a goodnight’s sleep is very important. Find Balance. Don’t forget to have fun! If you stay organized, you will have time to study hard, work, exercise and have fun. You can do it! Set Realistic Goals. Write down three to five measurable and achievable goals. Be specific and stretch yourself a bit. Keep a positive mind and stay motivated. Financial Planning. Create a reasonable monthly budget that works for you and stick to it. Apply for scholarships and other awards that can help pay for all aspects of your education. Take advantage of coupons and savings for food, clothing and entertainment. Be sure to put money aside for emergencies. Volunteer. Volunteering is a win, win! Help your community and build your resume while doing so. Seek opportunities to help others; you will be glad you did! Be Kind to You! Be proud of where you are and excited about the areas in which you plan to become an even better you! Be your own best supporter. There is so much still ahead of you. Live life to the fullest, learn all you can and grow.
