Tool For Riders

Dressage Today - - Emporium -

The TeleRein C IT is a new electronic device system for riders that indicates how much contact they have on the horse’s mouth. It is attached to the horse’s bridle at the poll by sturdy Velcro bands and strain gauges are fitted between the bit and the reins. Two lights, representing each rein, sit on top of the horse’s poll and light up in a range of colors to indicate different amounts of pressure. This can help a rider evaluate the nature of her rein contact, whether it is light, heavy, steady, unsteady, irregular or one-sided. Left and right reins display colors independently. This allows a rider to diagnose issues in contact in order to make corrections. As an optional extra, data from riding sessions can also be recorded and downloaded for further evaluation. The TeleRein C IT retails for $699. Visit
