Size Differences

Heavy, medium and light breeds and varieties are recognized by American Poultry Association and organized by weight. Bantam breeds are recognized by both APA and American Bantam Association, although not every breed and variety is recognized by both groups. Each organization has a written standard describing the ones they recognize.
