While the 49ers were idle Wednesday, two of the Kansas City Chiefs’ top players were limited in practice, according to the first injury report ahead of Super Bowl LIV on Feb. 2.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce (knee) and defensive tackle Chris Jones (calf) were limited, and wide receiver Demarcus Robinson (illness) did not practice.

The 49ers players officially had Wednesday off before their first Super Bowl practices Thursday and Friday.

In an estimated participation report, the 49ers said running back Tevin Coleman would not have practiced because of the dislocated right shoulder he sustained in Sunday’s 37-20 NFC championship win over Green Bay.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Coleman likely would need at least a week to rest his shoulder and that he still had a “good chance” of playing in the Super Bowl.

Limited in practice would have been safety Jaquiski Tartt (ribs), defensive lineman Dee Ford (quadricep, hamstring) and linebacker Kwon Alexander (pectoral). Linebacker Dre Greenlaw (ankle) would have been a full participant.

Other injuries the Chiefs are monitoring: cornerback Morris Claiborne (shoulder), wide receiver Mecole Hardman (back), defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (hand) and center Austin Reiter (wrist).

The 49ers will practice at 1 p.m. today, and they’ll leave for Miami on Sunday.
