49ers must realize COVID fight not a game

-

Seems that Kyle Shanahan and his 49ers are a little miffed that they did not get priority notice that they will not play any home games at Levi’s Stadium for a few weeks (“Shanahan blasts county over surprise ban,” Page C1, Nov. 30). Seems like Shanahan and his boys should have been on speed dial for the news from Dr. Sara Cody or Dr. Jeff Smith, Santa Clara County Executive.

Seems that hearing the news on social media was more than Shanahan and his boys could handle; after all, they are special people with special needs.

Well, it just so happens, coach, your team and your players are not the main concern this county and many others are facing.

We are in the middle of a pandemic. COVID-19 is not a game, it is real.

I’m sorry that your overpaid players have to be gone from their families for a few weeks — what a shame.
