Bicyclist critically injured in hit-and-run
OAKLAND >> A 59-year- old bicyclist suffered major injuries Monday night in East Oakland when he was struck by a car that ignored a stop sign and did not stop after the crash, authorities said.
The bicyclist was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to a hospital, where he was in very critical condition. By Tuesday afternoon, the cyclist was listed in stable condition.
The crash happened around 6:15 p.m. Monday at 84th Avenue and Holly Street.
