Brady stellar again for red-hot Buccaneers

Tom Brady threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns, helping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers clinch the fifth seed in the NFC with a 44-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The fourth straight win for Tampa Bay (11-5) may have come with a steep cost.

Star receiver Mike Evans was carted to the locker room with a left knee injury late in the first quarter and did not return.

Brady threw touchdown passes of 29 and 4 yards to Chris Godwin and 25 and 30 yards to Antonio Brown, finishing with a Tampa Bay single-season record 40 in his first season with the Bucs.

COLTS 28, JAGUARS 14 >> Rookie Jonathan Taylor rushed for a franchise-record 253 yards and two touchdowns, including a 45-yarder in the fourth quarter, as Indianapol­is (11-5) clinched a playoff spot while handing Jacksonvil­le (1-15) its 15th straight loss.

BILLS 56, DOLPHINS 26 >> Josh Allen threw three touchdown passes and Isaiah McKenzie scored three times, including returning a punt 84 yards, as Buffalo (13-3) routed Miami (10- 6), which needed a victory to earn a postseason berth.

SAINTS 33, PANTHERS 7 >> Drew Brees threw for 201 yards and three TDs, and New Orleans (12-4) had five intercepti­ons while wrapping up the NFC’s No. 2 seed.

GIANTS 23, COWBOYS 19 >> Rookie Xavier McKinney intercepte­d Dallas’ Andy Dalton in the end zone with 1:15 remaining to clinch the win for New York (6-10) over Dallas (6-10).

CHARGERS 38, CHIEFS 21 >> Los Angeles rookie quarterbac­k Justin Herbert threw for 302 yards and accounted for four TDs.

The Chiefs (14-2) already had wrapped up the AFC’s No. 1 seed, so coach Andy Reid chose rest over reps by sitting quarterbac­k Patrick Mahomes and several of his best players.

PATRIOTS 28, JETS 14 >> Cam Newton had three touchdown passes and caught another as New England (7-9) snapped a three-game losing streak.

Later Sunday, the Jets (214) fired coach Adam Gase, who was 9-23 in two seasons. VIKINGS 37, LIONS 35 >> Kirk Cousins threw for 405 yards and three TDs to lift Minnesota (7-9).
